Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka (PMM) was developed on 2002 as the 14th Politeknik in Malaysia. Were formed by Malaysia Education Ministry, PMM is located in Jasin District, 2km from Merlimau town, 24km from Banda Hilir and 19km from Jasin town. This polytechnic start to fully operate since 17th November 2002. As the maximum capacity for PMM is 5060 people per intake. Now this polytechnic have been one of the point of focus in Merlimau. PMM was built in 100 hectares of Merlimau plantation site. Merlimau Politeknik occupied 6 departments of study, which is Civil Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Mechanical Engineering Department, Trade and Commerce Department, Communication Science and Mathemathic Department and Tourism and Hospitality Department.
